Polyvagal-Informed Juror Assessment Tool (PIJAT) - Practice Activity

Welcome to this experiential exercise based on the Polyvagal-Informed Juror Assessment Tool (PIJAT). This tool helps observers assess how nervous system regulation may influence courtroom behavior, perception, and credibility judgments.

You will either act as a mock juror responding to a voir dire scenario, or as an assessor observing the juror’s nervous system cues. Use this form to track both participant responses and your observations as a consultant.

⚠️ This is not a diagnostic or psychological tool. It’s a training activity to build awareness of state-based perception and implicit bias in trial settings.
